Winery Dogs

My wife and I saw The Winery Dogs in St. Charles, IL on Friday. Without a doubt, one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Portnoy was amazing. Sheehan and Kotzen were too. This band is one to discover and definitely catch live. Peace, MT.

Saw them on their first tour front row in a bar that only had 500 people in there. It was incredible. Theyre awesome live. I saw them at Durty Nellies. Heres some footage from that show.

DLR's band was about the hottest thing I ever saw live.

Eff. I forgot WD is touring. Hot Streak played during a break is what reminded me that Sheehan was in another band and I hadn't investigated. Portnoy with DT is the last drummer to influence me before I quit way back.

I saw Portnoy and Sheehan live in another project called Sons of Apollo and I liked it so much I bought the CD. And again, it was at the House of Blues in Anaheim to a half-full house. That band was really great too.

I believe i saw TWD on their first tour and after that didn't really followed them anymore, but just like @Bo Eder posted Sons of Apollo is a great band too (music appeals more to me). Can't say enough about how much i love watching Billy Sheehan play. So much joy and passion, probably my favorite bass player :)
And every gig with Portnoy is a joy to visit. You know you're in for a good time!

I might check out The Winery Dogs. I was a big DT fan in the late 90s into the 00s I was buying all the CDs I could find, then I just got to where I didn't want to hear their music anymore I even removed it from my ITunes. I think it's a mental dislike for Pornoy after I saw him in-person talk negative to a person during the question and answer segment of his clinic. Then later on the web cursing and throwing cymbals down acting like a baby.

I did check out the Winery Dogs 🐕 and I really like their newest album. It reminds me slightly of one of my favorite Purple albums, Stormbringer. I had that one on 8 track. When ever I hear the guitar solo on the song Gypsy I still feel like the track is getting ready to change. That 8 track era was not good, tapes were all the time getting throne out the window because they wouldn't play right. We sometimes wedged a book of matches under the tape to make it track better. Ahhh the good ol daze.
