What are the small holes for, rivets?
Ben is playing the 20" Traditional (original) ride. Your thoughts on the 24 nearly pushed me over the cliff but I'll see what the agop 20 traditional/original has to say for itself when they arrive (shortly)The Agop 20" traditional they have quite a few models available which one is in their order? Some of them would be glorious for jazz. I would think about 2002 for other kind of music, all this is very subjective.
Agop 20" traditional:
Traditional jazz ride
Traditional Dark ride
Traditional original ride
Traditional medium ride
Traditional Heavy ride
Traditional Flat ride
Traditional Crash ride
Traditional Thin crash
Traditional Medium crash
Traditional Heavy crash
Traditional Dark crash
Let's rock n roll...Picked them up yesterday. 18x14, 12x8, 14x14. Early 70s. Walnut. Exact color match to the 24/14/16/18 I got three years ago. Just got new coated over clear Ambassadors, coated ambassador kick batter, fiberskyn front, and Ludwig Atlas spurs since the guy couldn't find both of the originals. Fine by me, I have Atlas spurs on the 24, so I'm going to make this 18 match. It's getting pretty pornographic in my garage these days...

The toms have a roundover edge, but the bass drum has the modern inward-facing 30* edge. Sounds really super good.
I was waiting for someone to post a VW. Not the thing I purchased, but a slick vehicle for sure.Sweet. I had a buddy who had a Thing. He cut it down the middle, widened it by 2', put it on a shortened suburban frame and made a top for it. Not my cup of tea, but he knocks stuff like this out all the time and then sells it to start another project.

Nice set.
But...... that picture bothers me a bit. It seems like the tom mount is on the wrong end of the bass drum.
Either that or the spurs are.
Seems like I'd have a hard time getting it set up for me, but if it works for you, that's all that counts, right?
I've turned a few kicks around in my day to get the toms mount there for setup purposes.Gretsch put the tom mounts on the player's side of the kick drum up through the 1980s. Honestly, I really like it. It's easier to get to from the playing position, and shows more of the drum to the audience.
