What's your latest purchase?

Here's a thing:

A 20" Sabian HH ride that's been extensively modified by the fantastic Ben at www.cymbalmagic.com. They do outstanding work and this ride is beautifully dry but retains its richness and projection.

If you want work doing on cracked cymbals, I highly recommend cymbalmagic. O-Zoning, edge repair, middle cracks taken out, bell conversions, spiralling and they're open to giving anything a go. They've just bought a lathe, too.

Really nice people, too. I can't speak more highly of them.

I recently purchased:
Meinl byzance dark crash 18 inch

Meinl Byzance trash crash 18inch

Waiting impatiently as they come through mail. Also bought Audio technica Ath- m50 headphones. I kinda splurged on myself.

Anyone have any experience with any off these things?

Zildjian 22" K Light Ride
Zildjian 17" A thin crash (to pair with my other thin as hi-hats)

Shure Beta 91A mic for the bass drum
Used Mackie 1604VLZ mixing board for upcoming audio project.

I have the trash crash and the 18" dark crash... I don't like the dark crash much, but it was too cheap to pass up. And the trash crash is amazing... One of the best cymbals I've ever played. Perfect for accents or for wash riding.

What about the dark crash didn't you like? For me it will be replacing a Sabian AAX Xplosion 18 inch. I know its a different animal, but I'd love to explore and convert all my cymbals into Meinl. As for the trash crash, thanks for making me even more eager to play it! That will replace my AAX ozone of the same size. Do you recommend any Meinl Rides? I need one to replace my K custom hybrid ride.

New snare: Ludwig Epic Centurian American Walnut on Maple 6.5x14" Snare Drum
waiting on its arrival.

Came today and has a great depth and vibe to it. That's with original new Ludwig heads, which are really great. Once I get a few different heads on it to test it out, it will be superb.

Just ordered a custom bass drum reso head from DrumART with my band logo/design on it. Super stoked! Pics to come ASAP.

The head showed up today and I got it on and tuned it up as soon as I got back from work this afternoon! Here she is:

I fear for your ride cymbal bashing up on the other side of the stand. I recommend getting one of those flat-based cymbal straight stands so you can bash it safely ;)

Just picked up some 8 hole hoops, & ordered some bowtie lugs for a 6.5 snare I am having made.

On back order, but I am getting a set of the new Ludwig die cast Classic bass drum claws.
They really look great. I love the design of them. A nice modern take on that classic claw.
I don't change out bas drum heads very often, but, the rubber hoop protector in them is a nice little touch.

These are going on the Red Sparkle MACH lug kit when it comes back in a few weeks.
