Think i forgot to mention it here haha
I got a Zildjian 17" K Custom Dark Crash and a Paiste 18" 2002 Novo China. Did 2 sessions with them and i'm going to return them. Disappointed in the 18" Novo since it is nowhere as trashy as the 20" that i have. Too much klang in it. It is the same thickness as the 20" and i think that's what is keeping the cymbal form achieving gloriousness
The 17" Zildjian sounds beautiful and works really well, but it has a small bell and it lacks volume compared to my other 3 crashes. It just drowns when i play it after hitting another crash and doesn't stand out. Love the sound, but the lack of volume bugs me and pretty sure it would bug me every time i play it.
First time ever i'm going to return 2 new cymbals haha. Was lucky so far, but these two just didn't make the cut. Not all sad though; i remembered an idea that i had years ago and that i want to pursue now. Put the 16" Oriental back in my setup and get the 14" too. You can never have too many chinas in your setup

That's correct, it has the yellowing like a vintage marine but also has green and pearl changing with the viewing angle.

New(ish) gear day for me. I’ve been in the market for a 24” kick for a while now. Sadly, none fit the size perimeters I was after for a decent price.
Then this gem showed up on Reverb for a steal. It’s a 24x18 Tama Superstar and they threw in the Ludwig 14x10” concert tom for $50.
I know the Superstars are nothing to write home about, but it’s great for me as it fit the exact size I was after.
I’ll do a referb job on them to match the rest of my kit and have a boomer that you’ll feel down the street!

The original Superstar and Superstar Excel were made up of Birch shells. I’ve played and re-headed several of these kits at a few churches and they may just make you whip out your stationary & stamps.
