Sensitone elite & a tama hp300

Didn't need them but they were ridiculously cheap and immaculate. Came with a beginner kit.

I recently picked up an LP Stealth jam block and I'm thrilled with it. It's sensitive and projects well; my band and sound guy love how it cuts through the mix without a mic.
I confirmed with LP's customer service that, except for the color, the Stealth block is the same as the red block (which I've played before and liked). But since the Stealth comes with a mount for only ~$10 more, I think it's a better value.

Well - I couldn't let my Acrolite be the only Ludwig child that I have - so I got myself a Supraphonic to go along with it. They play together nicely :)

Time for some new toys to play with :)

- Ludwig Keystone 3-pc kit in a special Black Oyster Pearl wrap made only for Guitar Center. I got kit 97 of 100. I upgraded with some ATLAS mounts and hardware and a new custom logo front head.

- Jojo's Perfect Balance Pedal for $200 new on eBay

- 18" Sabian El Sabor Crash - been wanting one forever in a natural finish and I finally got one for $127. Gently used at past NAMM and other shows.

Hopefully you'll like your Keystones, I love mine. The bass drum has a real nice, deep thud to it. The toms tuned up nice and I got the snare drum dialed in fairly easy.

I bought a double tom stand for two up and one down with a little more stability and not so much bulk as my 501 rack. Not a lot of room between the Big and Ugly 24 inch and the hats, but this stand works great. Thanks to Mendozart for the bottom piece of stand.

Shure SE215 IEMs. I'm in between pairs of higher-end IEMs due to an accident but needed something for some upcoming work so I shelled out £80 for a set of these. So far, I'm really impressed. At the price point the frequency response is well within tolerance for general on-stage monitoring, running clicks, etc.

The detachable/replaceable ear pieces and cables are a big step up from previous entry-level Shure IEMs I've had in the past (E2s, E4s). It's nice to know that if I have another accident, even with a cheaper set of phones I'll be able to do something about it if I want.

The kevlar cable is a real treat, too. I'm much less afraid of crimping the cord or catching it on a tuning rod or other equipment and breaking the phones, etc. I'm sure many of us have had that moment where you catch the cable on something, or it gets caught or trapped underneath something and it gets damaged. I've had a couple of pairs of phones get ruined that way. The kevlar should go a long way to reducing the chances of doing damage that way.

Really great work by Shure, IMO.

Supra!

I picked up a player's 402 awhile back myself. I used to always have one in my arsenal but made the choice to sell my last one for reasons I now don't fathom.

It's like a big can of whoopass.

I bought this Acrolite off of craigslist last weekend and after some trails and tribulations it is ready to play with new heads and a new set of snares.

I decided to get a couple of pies to go with my new 'retirement' kit. I had purchased a second hand Paiste formula 602 ride last Dec, and I liked the sound of it, very different than my GBs.
I went with the 16 and 18 inch 602 thin crashes. Thus far, I love them.

Yesterday, I picked up a DW 9000 Single bass drum pedal. Love it so far... I also added a Ziljian K Custom 11" splash, and a Ziljian cymbal bag to hold off duty ones... or for traveling, should I ever travel with my kit. Gosh, I hope not, lol. I'm too old for dragging all my crap around. Probably better if I play guitar if I play elsewhere...

There have been MANY new purchase days in the last 3 or 4 months, complete new kit except for a ride cymbal and a couple of other cymbal options.

Last Friday I added a 2nd DW floor tom. Excited about that. Same size, just different tuning.

Someone just told me yesterday RoadyDad, if you get 1 Paiste cymbal, be prepared to buy more. I guess I better stay away from them then. Since I have Z K's all over the freaking place, lol.

Granth, that's a classy looking CnC kit. I've seen them At Daves drum shop, and if they sound like they look, wow !

DW Doug, yes, I have a propensity for buying Paistes. My son has Zildjian Ks and As on his kit and I like taking them out for a spin when I visit. That's quite a nice collection you've got there. It's hard to stop isn't it ! Whoever dies with the most toys, dies !
