Updating myself... Not a wrap, found small chip with bare wood exposed. Now I'm even more stumped. Seeing how the badge was painted over...I could use some, ok a lot, of help please. All you Ludwig fans... Just picked up an old 6.5x14 wood shell snare at a flea market. I've always been a Tama guy, so my knowledge is minimal, and hours of searching have left me needing a strong Captain and Coke. Details are... Oval, enamel Ludwig and Ludwig badge. Date stamp on inside of shell is 8-27-40. That conflicts with the 30s era badge? Yes? No? Maybe? Seems all original except heads and snares throw off fully functional. Finish is bizarre. A blue with glitter thrown on after painting. They must have taken the lugs off, but the badge was painted over. I carefully scraped the paint off badge. Hoping I didn't damage it too badly. Possibility it's White Marine Pearl underneath? Definitely a wrap. Any advice, or where to get solid info would be extremely appreciated. Thank You!
I can't see it.Ok...so I found a used guitar at Guitar center for 89.00. It was a black westone pantera that is super comfortable to play (small hands). I bought this Blackstar tiny! 3 watt amp for 60 bucks that will have you shaking your head in disbelief. My goal is to take over the world one state at a time. (Someday).
Picked up some Yammie stage custom add ons,10x7 tom with case and 5x14 snare, both cranberry red.
Will post pics when I have time.
So upgrading my bop set.
Ludwig Custom Maple ,Pearl MCX ,Gretsch Renown and many many Fibes snares.
Already done.I'm curious about the Ludwig Custom Maples in your sig.
So.......you're going to have a 10/12/14/18 Stage Custom bop set. I had one of those too.
Don't forget about the double tom holder, unless you're going to replace the 12 with the 10.
