What's your latest purchase?

Just picked up 2 Ludwig Atlas Scissor lifts and an Atlas Mount.
Mounted my ride to the kick drum and a china crash off of a floor tom leg.

I've now gotten rid of all cymbal stands. Only the hi hat stand is left.
No gigs these days (covid) but my hardware bag should be about 10-15lbs lighter
when we do start up again.

Quick note: The cymbal arm off my FT doesn't stick out like the pic of Ludwig's site. It's much more parallel to the FT

How have those worked out for you? Specifically the floor tom... I'm trying to envision it in my setup, and I worry that the floor tom will tip over. I love the idea of eliminating stands (ok, ok...I'm just trying to come up with another way to add more cymbals, I suppose... ;) but the options intrigue me)

So far from a setup point of view, they're great. Lots of room for some jackass guitarist to jam his amp in there on stage.... (n)
My floor tom is not completely flat it's slightly angled toward me. So I think that the angle is slightly counterbalancing the cymbal/stand weight. Also, with the scissor lift being attached to the FT leg, the center of gravity is lower so that might help. Its pretty solid. My FT legs are 9.5mm and the post for the scissor stand is supposed to be 12.7mm. Luckily the mount I bought comes with adaptor sleeves that I didn't need for the bass drum so I used that on the FT leg. Works perfectly.
The true test though will be when things are bouncing around a bit up on a riser. We'll see then. I'll take a pic tonight of the setup and post.

Good, right?
I enjoy mine, too.

Oh, I've had my first one for 8-9 years. I picked up two Gibraltar bases some months ago, so now one of them has a seat. I'll probably get another one shortly. Just not exactly swimming in money at the moment.

At least the two main places I find myself practicing has one and my old worn out round DW throne will just go in the car permanently for on the go practice.

Until I eventually get a settlement these small purchases is where it's at. The list of big stuff to get is long and hasn't changed much in many years. Best thing I can do now is to make two mostly permanent and one mobile practice kit that cover my bases for normal practice.

With my Pearl Session on the way, going full Pearl gyro lock hardware.
A couple of 1030 booms and a ch-70 mini boom attachment, not gyro lock.

I’ve been figuring I can’t compliment it with the ol Hercules cymbal stand collection and need to think about retiring them.

Thank You Bongo, and Likewise, that’s a great hue of Red (Fire Engine if I’m not mistaken?). Is that Tom an 8”x10” or 12”?. Hopefully it doesn’t take John too long to sign it.

Yep Fire engine red, lighting and camera quality make it a bit off but you get the idea. The rack tom is a 12x8. John is not in the factory due to covid, so, until he returns it's on hold.
