Actually, it's not the reference I was making, but that's a cool version, too.
I was talking about the cut off of Giant Steps....


...I first heard it in the early 80's, when it was featured in a movie someone made about Sailing, Surfing and Hang Gliding. It was the section where they drive the Land Rovers on the beach, around the palm trees.
Loved that song ever since.
 
Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White predates me by 4 years. I'd bet most drummers are dancers by default, even if they don't dance. Four-limb independence is too easy of an excuse. Wanna Mambo?

 
Well?..i thought it was recent but it wasn't. I've been listening to Witches Spell AC/DC and Angus is a bad azz. Can't stop playing that tune.
 
Woke up to Michael Jackson doing Billy Jean. Can't say I'd ever ask brain radio to play any MJ, but there it was. Unbidden. Unrelenting. Unexplainable. I suffered for a couple of hours with brain radio pumping out MJ over and over. Then I went to town for some errands and happily, brain radio magically switched to The Kinks and Lola. Sometimes, not knowing how brain radio works is best. ;)
