What are you listening to right now?

I have no reason to go where it's warm, but brain radio somehow thinks so. Boat Drinks from Jimmy Buffet.

jda:
"can't say but have to be coming from keyboard- you mean the strings?horns? Percussion seems to be covered by the the 2 'drummers
has to be keyboard has four hands : )"

Definitely some form of backing track on the last song. Maybe they had a flashing light instead of click?

Since many times I am guilty of listening to talking heads on AM radio, it was appropriate that I'm in my Mancave listening to Talking Heads.... one of the many tunes in the Discover Weekly genre on Spotify. Nice Monday morning as a retiree chillin and recoverying from playing with 6 and 3 year old Granddaughters yesterday for HOURS!! Honey, "Where's the Advil?"

Picked up a sealed in cellophane, brand new CD of Pink Floyd's ' Meddle' at the favourite pawn shop yesterday ( $2 no tax). My own copy is messed up, scratched beyond repair .

I popped it for the drive home . Brought me back to 1973 (?) . What a strange ride it's been .

Woke up to brain radio playing Home Free's version of Ben E. King's Stand By Me at around 04:10. I gotta admit, that's a pretty good way to wake up. So, I got dressed and began my day. The first task is dumping the dehumidifier in the basement. As I was pulling the drip pan, brain radio immediately switched the channel to Steely Dan's Doctor Wu. Why does brain radio do that? Is there some subliminal connection between asking somebody to stand by me and then wondering if they really are with me? Is it just the harmonies? Or do I have bigger problems going on in my head? No matter, I guess, brain radio's soundtrack for today is fine with me!

Echoes will always be one of my favorites. Echoes, a gentle cannabinoid alteration and a good pair of headphones added up to some kind of synergistic effect not attainable without the others. The 70's are gone for me, but I've still got Meddle and the memories. Thanks, @ravenson!!

This is my very favorite Turkish song to drum to... I love the beat. Enjoy!

I can't blame this one on brain radio - it just popped up on the U-Tub. Wonderworld wasn't my favorite Uriah Heep album, and I'm sure I am guilty of snatching the tonearm off the vinyl before The Easy Road played for more than two seconds (it being the last song on the album side). Now is the time to gently set the stylus in the groove. Thanks, David Byron and Ken Hensley!
