This probably sounds juvenile, but I have surmised that if I had no other obligations and could practice 10-12 hours per day I might have accomplished a lot more during my playing days.

play what you want to play
pursue your musical passion
with fervor and delight
because once you are older
you might not get the chance
don't let those around you
tell you that you can't
you will see them kneeling
around your standing throne
