Xavier Ware is one of my favorite drummers. He's an absolute monster.
He went into a pawn shop and played a kit with horrible tom angles.

I like to maintain a 10-1 ratio of drums to cymbals.

Since the hi hats count as 2 cymbals, technically that kit maintains a 5:1 drums-to-cymbals ratio.

Snare drum on the wrong side and 5 feet away: Check
It's almost as if this was a premeditated set up for a photo capturing the perfect tom angles post!
I say close but no cigar! To REALLY go all out, it should have included an upside down floor tom and a cymbal mounted upside down on a boom stand (with no sleeves, washers or wing nuts) that has an extreme downard angle (cymbal titler is the lowest point).
As an aside, I'm trying to figure out what that "thing" is in the background above the hi hat. It looks like some sort of old school deep sea diving suit/helmet from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea!

What snare? I swear I’ve been looking for it but don’t see one anywhere in that pic! I thought maybe the rack tom is hiding it, but I don’t see a snare stand either, which would be visible beneath the tom if it were there.

All the foot pedals work great! 6 sets of Sticks included,also"
