Here's a time lapse of 2009's World record breaking event Stick it to MS.

Stick around till the end to see what 582 drummers playing together sounds like.

Wow - what a sound!!!!

I wonder how many beats were hit with 582 drummers??? compared with how many beats I hit while doing the World record of 720 hours (assuming we both played at 120 BPM)

Anyone want to do the math? (I don't)

4 on the floor bass drums on the 120 would be 69,840 beats per minute, then 34,920 beats of the snare on the one and three, plus 139,680 hits with 1/8th notes on the hi hat. Total, 244,440 hits per minute on the drums. Lots of noise and rhythm. And playing the same rhythm or groove that you did they would have done your work in about 1 hour and 17 minutes, give or take.

Hi Rick, cheers for posting this. It was amazing to have taken part in this last year and I'm hoping you'll do another one at some point!

Wow, great record to have.
That put a big smile on my face.
Wanted to hear more than a few seconds though.
If someone tries that anywhere near California you bet I'll be there, with kit and carpet.

Tulsa looks Like a great event and for a great cause. The organisers over there seem to do a great Job and the have produced some great videos!! They also have a Time Lapse on the website and great video explaining what it's all about.
