The Weeknd Sacrifice Drum cover

As always, very nice playing, thanks for posting! That snare sounds phat!
Thanks cjj! That snare was 14x5,5 Yamaha Club Custom coupled with regular Big Fat Snare head. Actually from the front camera, it sounded pretty much like the Billy Jean snare.

Nice playing kaide! Can you update us on the mic setup and any special effects for the snare and kick? Looks like Earthworks for the HH and ride, SM57 for the snare batter, ___ for the toms, ___ for kick, and SM58 for some ambience (?). Thanks

Edit: Oops it's on the info dropdown on your YT page. Nevermind :)
"Mics: AKG C414XLS (Overheads), Shure SM57 (snare), Telefunken M82 (kick), Earthworks SR-25 (Hi-Hat) "

Thanks Rhumbagirl! You already got the mic specs...I used a little bit of gated reverb for the snare but otherwise, it was a very basic mix. The kick sound is the combination of inside Beyerdynamic e901 and Yamaha Subkick, which was pretty loud this time.

So crisp, so clean. Yum.
A clinic in tasty tracking right here.
So a repeated groove pattern can be funky and def.
