Tama tension rod threads

Hello!
Sorry if similar thread exists, haven't found it.

I own Tama drums. It seemed to me is the tension rods were M6. So to prevent detuning I got some M6 nuts and when I put them on rods, they appeared to be bigger and didn't hold.

Does anyone know what thread does Tama use on their rods?

I did see in a Pearl catalog that M5.8 is being used. Is it the case with Tama also?

Thanks!

They should be 12-24. The only exception I have seen is with DW's True Pitch rods which are 10-32.

yep, standard size for rock stars...and the industry.

except for dw as noted above (around 2000 and up if i remember correctly) and mij kits. also some 60's premiers and sonors from what hear.

i do have a new set of 20 t-rod lock nuts and possibly some pearl lock nuts.

pm if in interested.
