Tama Starclassic or DW Performance?

My local shop that I teach at is a DW and Tama dealer so I have ample opportunities to inspect both Tama Starclassic Maple and DW Performance kits . There is really no wrong decision . They both sound like what a nice maple kit should sound like .
It may come down more to aesthetics for you and size availability .

I know many have helped me learn a ton of info and I appreciate it. I want a virgin bass, prefer to buy from this retailer as they are only 2 day shipping :)
I am down to these two, the DW set would come with a 22X14 Bass.
DW Pros are American made, easy access to add ons and drums at Sweetwater, 2 mounted toms.
Tama, price and reputation. I really wonder how long it would take me to get a second mounted tom.
DW Performance
Tama Starclassic 22X14 Bass
Dude where are you located? My brother has a starclassic birch/bubinga 6pc kit with all hardware and cymbals for sale. It's been babied and in top condition. Pm me if interested, could save you a buck and unload it for him. (He moved into a condo)
