Tama Iron Cobra Double Pedal slave side squeaking issue

I have a new TAMA HP900PWNBK Iron Cobra double pedal. Got it just 3 months ago and the slave side is already squeaking. I oiled the chain, but the squeak is still there. It squeaks when pressure is applied to the pedal. There is no squeak when you pull the beater by hand and let is swing freely. The squeak appears to be coming from the inside where the bearings are, but their manual says they're oil free bearings. I e-mailed Tama support several days ago, but haven't heard back from them so I'm posting this here. Any advice?

is it the spring by chance? because thats what often squeaks on pedals

Could be the hinge at the heel, or the spring connections?

It's probably too new for the universal joints to have gone bad, but you never know.
Thanks for your advice. I oiled both springs as well as the hinges on the connector arm and added a little on the ends to get into the bearing area without taking it apart. We'll see what happens later. I leave this pedal as is on my Roland kit at home so I never play gigs with it or move it to other kits.

Could it be between the clamp of the pedal and the.bass drum trigger tower?
I don't think that was it because it was coming from the slave side, but I greased it all up and now it seems fine. It seems too new to have to oil it up like I did, but at least I didn't have to dissect it and get inside looking for bearing issues.

Oh man, that sucks because I do a lot of double bass. Hopefully it holds up for a good long while. This one was pretty pricey too. I have an old IC and also a Crush M2 that are still in good condition, but squeaky and loose so I was going to refurbish both of them eventually.
Out of curiosity, what is a good double pedal that could stand the test of time? Cheers for your help!

DW has the best footboard hinge by a long margin compared to all the others. And the Trick u-joint is a must.
Regardless you should not have any squeaks in the IC if it is new

You can get a Trick drive shaft to replace the IC one when it develops slop. Just make sure you get the one that has the IC fittings on the ends, and your good to go.

Cool! I just checked out the Trick drive shafts. This is the first I've heard about them. Thanks. That's probably all I need to fix up the other 2 double pedals I mentioned earlier, The Crush pedal is pretty much a replica of the IC anyway. Cheers to you and TJK too..
