Superior Drummer 2 connect to TD30k

Hi I’m new here. Just got superior drummer 2 for my roland td30k . Having connection issues to my laptop. Do I need an audio interface to connect drums to laptop or can I connect directly? “SD2 MIDI error no midi device” available Any help much appreciated . Thanks DM

I'm not sure if the USB port on the TD-30 module functions as a MIDI interface or not. If not, you'd need a MIDI interface for your computer and set up your DAW to receive MIDI data from it. Hope that makes sense.

Yamaha makes a decent wireless one, FWIW. Good luck!

The USB port sends MIDI. Just need to plug in a cable and tell the computer to use that MIDI input.

PC or Mac? You may also need to check Roland website for any drivers to be installed.
