Sticky evans heads

Does Evans pay their endorsers to do public relation works? I smell a pattern of "sorry to hear that but please stay with Evans" here...
To be clear, I'm not paid by D'Addario and I don't endorse their products exclusively. I was a D'Addario employee 7 years ago and have quite a bit of institutional knowledge about the product and the business. I really don't care what gear you play as long as your happy. My focus is on cutting through the groupthink and focusing on the often unseen or misunderstood elements present here.

I think you tend to do a good job on that, which is helpful. It's easy for the pendulum to swing one way very quickly, but with a fresh perspective it can be like opening curtains in a dark room only to discover a lot of benefits in that room. (y)

And much like the...well, entire output of Sounds Like A Drum, I appreciate hearing from people that have either walked the walk, or aren't afraid to put in the work to find actual answers to questions/problems related to drumming. There's a lot of what I call "drum voodoo" that we've all either heard in our formative years as drummers or repeated so often it gets believed blindly that simply isn't true.

I had one sticky head out of the many dozens of Evans heads I have used. It was a hazy snare batter, which stuck to the top of the bag it was in. So I changed it to a coated head. Peace and goodwill.
