Hey, thanksso much for all these transcriptions. I've been transcribing Ed Soph trading 8's then 4's as there are so many cool fills in it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muDcMkrHt74&feature=related

I hit a complete wall at the fill at the 1:50 mark though. If you ever decide to transcribe this please let me know. I could scan the stuff I've got so far for you... I'd have to alter it before putting it on this website though as it's all in my own language and a bit embarrassing :)

Hello mate, I read in an earlier thread you transcribed Aja for somebody.
I realise its an imposition on my part, but could I trouble for for the same groove please.

It would be much appreciated...:)

Hi!
I didn't transcribed Aja, but I have a transcription made by Orazio Deleo. It's attached, have fun with it!

O.K. I'll try it. By the way its just ratamacues, but played in 3 over 4, that's all.... No, I'm just joking! If you don't understand it, read #23 here: http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51184 :-D

Actually, I would love to see these also. Really nice, tasteful fours there by Soph. Can't wait to see them Korompay! As always, brilliant work.

Nonsense Korompay! Everyone knows they were flamaratadiddles played in 11s, but only accenting on the 7 ...

:p

There are a couple of things (actually millions) that Bill Bruford plays in King Crimson's One More Red Nightmare which interest me (and no doubt others).

In his first series of four breaks, the first break where he plays snare and the cymbal he fished out of a studio bin seems tricky and I never made sense of the third break. If you had a look at them I'd be grateful. Cheers!

Hey - damn - sorry Korompay, I completely missed your reply to my post somehow.

Hehe, yeah ok.. just like Joey Jordison does it then yeah? Just one of the many similarities between Ed Soph and Joey Jordison. I'll get some make up on and get practicing that straight away

Did you ever attempt that Trading 4's piece? I got really stumped after that part I mentioned then just put it aside really... admittedly, I gave up!! Total wimp, I'll need to get it back out again and give it another bash.

Nice :)

I have already transcribed that JoJo Mayer Groove for DW thing a while back. It's in the thread "A peek into JoJo Mayers head".

We should compare our transcriptions.....

I'm still working on the Performance 1 Solo, but I just don't have enough time to get to it and finish it allthough I'm almost through the whole thing. I hope I'll have some more time in the next few weeks to get that done.

As always: Nice work!

It seems to me that Ed Soph pulls back the time, but the bass player doesnt. Unfortunately I have no idea how to notate this (11 over 4/4 or something scary thing like that....)
