Yeah, nice groove based solo. I especially like the way he attacks the toms, & let's the accent wander around to create an organic feel to the piece. A great inspiration as a teacher, I'd imagine.

he is very inspiring indeed! i'm simply in awe of him most of the time. no matter what i'm working on, no matter how difficult, he can just sit down and play it perfectly with no warm up. that solo is very typical of him. almost all his solos fit within the framework of a song, so he'll base them off the main groove. he'll get way, way out on a limb with his variations but he never loses the feel of the groove.
