Did you ever get a setlist from a band, say on a fill-in gig, and the song titles are abbreviations, half titles, or a couple of words from the chorus?

Example: "Magic Carpet Ride" is listed as "You Don't Know What." Or, "Like A Rolling Stone" is written down as "How Does It Feel?"

Good grief.

Sometimes our own band leader abbreviates songs in a way we aren't used to and I have to go "what"?

Even better, sometimes he enters the wrong one, he's copying and pasting from the master list, and he grabs the one adjacent to the one he intended, usually starting with the same first word. Inevitably, the one he's pasted in there is one we haven't done in a while, so I repeat it, saying "really"? Then he goes ooops...

And that's in my own band, not someone elses list
(of course it's happened enough now that I can sort of figure out what's happening, and to be fair, he sends us the lists early in the week so we can look at them, which I never do....my turn to say oops)
