Silent Stroke heads best practices

Have a set for my wife with silent stroke heads and L80 cymbals. Not a bad setup for quiet practicing while we are locked up.

Wanted to get your input on getting the max out of these heads. I have seen videos of using a bit of tape to get more boom/sound out of them. Others have used duct tape to get a better feel. What has worked for you guys? What have you done to get the best sound out of your snare?

Thanks and hope you are all doing well making plenty of noise.

I play them as they are & no problems. Know some who use Gaffa Tape But that just makes them louder & to me, defeats the object.
Yeah you are right. I tried using just painters tape. I like what it does to the toms since it gives them a little more boom. But the snare becomes almost too loud of course. Not bad for a quick day time option then at night just take the tape off and they get quiet again.
