show off your snare

My snare collection is in a constant state of flux and I rarely hang onto anything long term. Figured I'd grab a group picture as my collection has stabilized a bit (though it's going to be changing again soon with my Canopus endorsement).

Arrived earlier in the week, enjoying getting to know her over 4 gigs this weekend.

It sounded great on the first gig last night though so I’m happy so far!

My newest snare drum. It's the mutt drum I posted about in the latest purchase thread. Witt Percussion solid, steam bent beech shell, finished, edged and built out by Chris Heuer using Ludwig hardware. At the moment, it's holding its own with my N&C SS maples and my cherry Craviotto. It's actually easier to dial in at different tensions and with various types of muffling than the others. Got it out for some vitamin D at the county park.

Ah no, has RyanCulbertson left the forum/deleted his account?

What a shame if so!

I think I haven't posted the last one, INDé Kalamazoo Bronze snare 14x6.5 form Scooter540 on this forum, with the Sonique he has put aside for me, I'm at 5 shares bought from him here, not band! Great seller and great prices and services!!! Last 3 pictures are from him in his kitchen.

Late posting this. I am up to two now and neither is nearly as fancy as most of y'all's.

I’ve downsized my snare collection and settled on these 3.
Tama SLP 13x7 G-Maple: I love this snare. It’s so versatile. 13” snares are so underrated.

Ludwig Bronze Phonic Raw 14x6.5

Gretsch USA Solid Aluminum 14x6.5: this maybe the best fat back beat snare I’ve ever played. Sounds so good turned medium-low that I haven’t even tried tuning it up yet.
