I’m sure you can play crazy fast with it. Direct drive pedals just don’t work for unmiked gigs in many cases, though. They’re just not loud enough.

Also if i had a wooden footboard it would get disgustingly sweaty. And that hoop clamp looks weird. I don't see this pedal becoming popular.

Surfboard wax it. I fashioned a wood sleeve to put over my TAMA KING BEAT foot board in the 80's, the wax works, but it gets real dirty.

The best thing about this pedal IMO is the hoop clamp.

That looks like the same kind of hoop clamp as Sleishman pedals. I had one for a while. The pedal felt really weird, but I did like that hoop clamp.
