OK, I decided to buy one. It's a good stand - not quite as light as the Yamaha Crosstown, but it does have adjustable tension, which I really like. It's very solid, at least for my playing. The only negative, for me, is the tilter adjuster. I'm accustomed to the screw and spring style - all of my previous hi-hat stands have this style. But, the Rogers tilter uses a screw and nut. That's great if you always play with the same tilter adjustment, but I find that I vary that, depending on the playing situation. The screw and spring style is much easier to adjust on the fly.
Anyway, I'm keeping it (and the Yamaha version). I'll test the Rogers on a gig this weekend (just used in rehearsals and jams so far).
