Restoration of an old set of Ludwigs

Wheew! Great, great job! Really, that's incredible. I was thinking those drums are done for after reading the first messages. Now they look like new. Beautiful set, nicely done. Congratulations!

Al,

The drums look great. Just like 1968 again!
Good work. Congrats.
If the tuning of the BD ever bugs ya, because the bottom T-rods won't let you get the tension you want, Replace just those 4 bottom rods (two in front, two in back) with the square headed type.
Really helps dial in the BD tuning.

...er, I think you now have a new avatar, too, eh?

Thanks for accolades guys, that's really nice. Ya' know Elvis... this was all because of you showing off your shiney beautiful drums. Thanks again. I played em' hard after the pics yesterday and can't be more pleased about the new feel and sound they have. Tama's go night night for a while. hehe

Wow! Beautiful, beautiful job! And you got it done so quickly too. A job that size would've taken me 2-3 months to finish. Congratulations!

O.M.G. oO, that finish & quality (of the finished product) is just staggering :D.

Grats, very good job!
