Replacement Throwoff Help - Sonor D545

New member
Hey everyone. I recently purchased a 70's Sonor Ferro D545. The throwoff is in rough shape - the top knob is pretty bent which makes it very hard to dial the tension of the wires in.

The spacing between the holes is about .67" measured between the holes (edge to edge) - at least according to my cheap calipers. I was wondering what after market throw would fit my snare, or if Sonor still uses the same hole pattern on modern snares.

Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem, and was not able to find a replacement with the same spacing. I ended up drilling a new hole. To avoid that, you could make an adapter plate from a bar of aluminum.
