Remo Colortone - Yes or No?

It is time for me to change heads. Currently using Evans Black Chrome. I hit hard and these heads hold up and are punchy AF. Has anyone had a good experience with Remo Colortone? Online they sound a little dead. Thoughts?

Recently switched to these and love them! Over clear 1 ply reso's I get good full warm tone - and they look great! Can't vouch for life expectancy as haven't had them long enough.

I thought they sounded a bit dead as well

I recently bought all new heads for the drum set I built. I went with the Remo colortone in purple. My set is a natural wood. The combination is undeniably beautiful. They sound great too. The purple heads, though transparent almost look black until you see them in the light.
