Profile Enhancement and GIF Support

Awkward Episode 2 GIF by The Office


One of the major problems with this I detected is that there's no context available. What does the thread starter play/prefer/own? And what about the members giving recommendations? So I came up with a possible solution: There's new custom member fields in your personal profile:
  • Genres (Pop, Rock, Jazz, ...)
  • Setup (1up/2down, ...)
  • Drum tuning (JAW, max. body, jazzy, ...)
  • Snare tuning (JAW, medium tight, ...)
  • Cymbals (dark, bright, fast, ...)
  • Professions (drums, teaching, audio engineering, ...)
I then added this information to the member pop-ups appearing when one hovers over any members name, e.g. the one to the left in each posting. This way you'll get immediate context to a members comment. So I hope to encourage you guys to fill out these new profile fields to help others in classifying your opinions better. This is how it appears:

Thanks for looking into it. I may have found a workaround, though. I use Firefox and you can go to about:config and set image.animation_mode to "none". I hope this doesn't mean that the gif still gets downloaded and just doesn't get played. Sorry for being a killjoy, but if every thread requires downloading 20 MB of gifs, that would make me stop using DW on my phone. :)
 
Hey I enhanced my Agrippa profile. I got busted for slapping Marc Anthony-the wimp deserved it. He made fun of Attica and Claudia so I had to b slap him. It was my pleb upbringing we don't take crap from no one-even Marc and Cleo-both can bite me the arrogant snobs.

I didn't realize that you, @GetAgrippa were the maternal grandfather of Caligula and the maternal great-grandfather of the Emperor Nero. Now I understand the reflective expression.
