Post your Gig Pics

Pregame pic of my big boy bass drum (14x24) with the new shield logo head. Excited to hear some beefy bass tones in the music tonight. 💪

I also play in a band that is very "keys forward" and my fellow ivory tickler loves any extra low end. He hates playing without a bass player and when I try to not use a floor tom he practically demands it. He actually would take extra low end from bass and drums over higher register accompanying instruments like guitar.

@roncadillac, sounds like your guy and my guy think alike!

I kinda go overboard with the low end emphasis these days. Take tonight for example. I had the 14x24 bass drum with a full (no port) reso head, and also was running my D6 on the batter head PLUS triggering a short 808 sub kick sound from a Roland TM-1. o_O:ROFLMAO:

Final gig with the band I dep for for a few months, baby due in two weeks as of yesterday.

Headline slot at an International Blues Festival about 30mins drive away.

Field was packed by the time we went on and some friends from my main band made it over, beautiful hot day…etc

Managed to snag a photo about half way through our set. One negative? The lights attracted hundreds of moths and midges.

Also my watch kept buzzing from notifications on my phone, so a few times I thought I was getting “that call” from home I needed to rush to the hospital 😂

Great final gig for a few months now. Not back in the drumming saddle until November, as things stand.

Looks like a great time and congrats on the little one! My first is just over two months now and I still haven't played (outside of occasional taps on my ekit) since April. My main band is just starting to discuss resuming rehearsals in mid August to prepare for Halloween season which is historically our most busy and in demand time. Even then, we will have to pull it back a bit this year because the band leader is getting married in November so we've all got a lot going on.

Again, congratulations on the little one and you'll be back on the saddle quicker than you expect.

Wishing you the best for up coming baby and an early congratulations

Nice. Club Date Ludwig’…with the art deco lugs?
Thanks they are 2019 Clubdates with Imperial lugs. What are art deco lugs?

Yet another gig in 100-plus degree heat, but at least we were in the shade the whole time. Got some bummer news about a family member right before leaving the house, so I had to really focus up. I just concentrated on the click and the groove all night. It was maybe one of my best nights. Broke in the new tom heads and actually got fed after the gig - how nice to get home and not be starving out of my mind.

The Imperial lug is an ‘art deco‘style. Old Leedy and Slingerland too.
Even though I have a Supra I could not think of the word Imperial at time of typing.
Yours stand out…..was used to seeing the other lug style on Club Dates.

Oh yeah that makes sense. The original club dates did have what I call bow tie lugs as well as the club dates that were reintroduced maybe in the early 2000s, which were an import for Ludwig. Then they produced the ones like I have in Monroe N.C. at the Ludwig facility with imperial lugs. Now I don't think they make club dates any longer. I really like that kit.
