Wedding Saturday night - fairly cool backdrop......
The more I see that big center port, the more I want to give it a try. The tartan helps as well. Tugs at my highland heritage.
Am sure I have a spare reso kicking around. Time to try this on the 22" Club Custom.
I finally gigged the "new" ludwig kit this weekend. I am in love with this thing now. Coated Emperors on all of the toms give a nice warm tone. The guys liked it too. After playing a 4 piece forever the extra rack tom made me rethink a lot of fills, it was tricky at times.
The stage area here looks funny lit up, they acually have a lighting system while we play so the furniture is hidden, it a cool stage area 3 steps up from the rest of the venue.
Thank you. Yeah, ive been using just the ride which i can crash as well for a while and it just simplifies things. I have a splash that ill add to the ride stand above the ride sometimes on a stacker rod. Once in a great while, outdoors ill add just one crash but its honestly been years since I have.Awesome looking Ludwigs! I’m also particularly fond of the one cymbal + hi-hat cymbal setup. I’ve been running with that idea for the last several months and love it.

Hola dot comrades.
last weekend l got to enjoy three of my favorite pass times. Cycling, camping, and music.
One of my bandidos held a bit of a music fest out at his cabin on Hastings Lake. I drove out on Thursday to drop off my drums and camping gear, Friday It was a 45 km bike ride from my house to the lake. Saturday I did a 45 km timmies run to and from Tofield before the gig, then another 45 km for the return home on Sunday. Probably going to be the closest thing l get to a vacation this summer. Weather, roads, traffic, music, vibe, food, and beer were about as perfect as l could have hoped for.
After we get together for our post gig autopsy we will probably not get together musically until fall.
Have a great Summer one and all. Stay safe
Barry
More gig pics from Ol’ Ryno. I feel like this is the only thread where I have anything to contribute. 🥴
Mid-week at an uppity winery in Paso Robles, CA. Beautiful scenery.

Next up was a shitty dive bar in Bakersfield. At least the lighting was cool. LOL. Bako peeps are always a great crowd. Salt of the earth folks.

Finally, yesterday’s wedding hit in San Juan Capistrano. A block away from the mission at an 180 year old historic place. Third different rig in as many hits. Fun to mix it up.
