We are going to be on stage tomorrow, stronger than ever. It will take much more than a bunch of cowards sneaking behind our backs to stop this band.

Bastards. Will re-post on my FB.

Can you put up the facebook link? I live in Huddersfield (about 15 miles away from Bradford) so most of my Fb friends live & work around that area.
I will also send it to a couple of independent music stores I know in case they get offered the gear.

EDIT: Just found your page on FB. I'll share the post. Hope you get the gear back.

Sorry to be reading this, this really sucks when gear gets ripped of at anytime, but mid tour, that's the lowest of the low.

To the OP, have you tried other drumming sites? Pearl Drummers Forum, and MikeDolbear.com for example?

Hope the guys get the gear back.

Thanks for offering to repost. I lost my internet connection yesterday afternoon so couldnt go on any drumming forums but will be trying to repost today.

Im so glad its not my gear...just feel terrible when someone gets raided. Makes me need to get insurance today!

Sucks man. Right royally effing sucks.

Never had it happen to me or any of my bands (knock on wood).....but I know I'd be livid. Not much more I can do from the colonies than shake my head and offer my sympathies, I'm afraid. Hope this turns out well, but alas, I fear I already know the outcome. Once again, it sucks!!

Posted it everywhere I could.
When I start gigging I'm getting my gear insured.

Probably not insured if stolen out of an unattended vehicle to be honest mate...

I've reposted on my FB page (I'm near West Yorkshire also)

You CAN get insurance that covers you for theft out of unattended vehicles. But I believe its a higher premium but definitely worth it, especially when loading and unloading at gigs in chav infested areas

I work in insurance (but not this type) and I'd be flabbergasted...

I would check the small print on that as I'd bet good money that it covers you for theft from a band vehicle but not if the vehicle is left unattended/unlocked.

I'm not saying I disagree that the coverage is available for gigging bands, just that I'd be flabbergasted if it gives carte blanch to basically leave your vehicle unattended, and unlocked, with 10k of musical equipment in the back of it, in a situation where opportunistic theft is rife.

Will hold my hands up if I'm wrong mate...but working in insurance what I would say if you've got one of these policies is CHECK THE SMALL PRINT extremely carefully as there is a standard phrasing on all insurance that the keeper of the insurance must "always act with utmost due care and prudence as if uninsured".

I used to work in Liability so no real knowledge of this type of insurance either.

I need to check small print for a lot of issues (how do they know that a picture you've taken of your gear isn't just your mates stuff etc). But certainly small print in these cases is crucial.

I'd imagaine that the vehicle whatever is used would have to be locked while unattended. Allianz do musical instrument insurance so I'll try and dig up some info. The last thing I want are my K's to be stolen or the guitarists Gibson Gold Top Les Paul etc.

Yeah....I'd just hate to think of people buying this insurance and thinking it's an absolute blank cheque so to speak.

Personally I just can't bring myself to leave my gear anywhere these days...as I'm in a position where if it went my band days would be over....so I frequently can't hang around post gigs, even when we're supporting a big band. Shame, but ce la vie

Sad state of affairs that we can't even share our passion with audiences post gig for fear of something getting nicked. I don't understand why musicians would steal off their peers - when stuff goes missing within gig venues thats when things upset me the most. I'd never screw another musician over but a minority seem to have no qualms about who they upset as long as they are happy.
