Please recommend a good DAW

I had Logic for pc about 25 or 30 years ago. I was  when it went Mac only. I still have the floppies in a drawer somewhere.

I say pick one, and learn it well. It takes a while, and if you go with one that has the right stuff for you, you probably won't want to switch.

I've recorded so many projects using Reaper. I've recorded full-length albums, edited WAV files for my SPD-SX, and used it to develop performance tracks. It's an amazing program.

Reaper.fm is truly where it's at. For a fraction of the price of a Cubase upgrade I bought a DAW that does everything I need. MIDI sequencing, multi-track/multi-take audio recording/editing, mixing, even some video editing capabilities.

It runs on mac/win/linux and is designed to be as accessible, extensible, and customizable as possible. For example, the project files are human readable XML files.
