I went to a Pete Seeger tribute last evening, by chance. It had many musicians each of which got their time in the spot light for their sing-a-long, with a number of all sings interspersed. There was a comedian/stage manager providing cover with shepherding the singers into(and out of) the spot light providing interludes and tasteless jokes while they adjusted mics and such between performers. Had a sort of 60's cultural movement meet the web feel. The whole thing was put together quite well, for a bunch of singer song writers on stage at the same time. Though by the end I kind of had that motion sickness feel, the cajon and djembe were just overwhelmed, could have used a crash or kick during the clapping choruses, and a baddaboom during the comedian.
