Really liked this - is this you playing Bill? Great playing, I may listen to this for a while and attempt a cover as I reckon it's up my street. Very Joe Satriani on the guitar at the end too.

Liked on YT. Thank goodness someone is still playing instrumental prog :)

I really enjoyed that, Bill! Amazing playing as always and a really classy band sound.

What are Warr guitars like to play with? Is there a lot of messing around in its setup? They seem to be amazing instruments. The only player I know of is Trey Gunn.

Thank you guys for the kind words! Some feedback:

Yes, this is me playing. :)

Believe it or not I've yet to play or record live with Mark Cook playing WARR guitar. We've recorded this and our spokeofshadows.com stuff virtually sharing files over drop box. It's a super cool instrument though, I often can't tell what's WARR or guitar or bass or keyboard with what he does as there are so many different sounds & textures he goes for. (Pretty genius like that.)

Instrumental prog does still exist! The track posted was me guest drumming on their upcoming CD (herdofinstinct.com), I also guest drummed on 3 tracks of their last one, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mg8NGn7qKv4

Check out my primary project with the same guy, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wte2RNEXHqg Our 2nd album is done, just waiting on the release. And feel free to actually buy a copy of our first which makes it all doable! :)

Again, thanks for the kind words. :)

Big thanks for the additional links to your work. Really enjoyable stuff. Haven't stopped listening to Herd of Instinct "Fragments of a Portrait", since you posted it yesterday.

Very nice instrumental prog song-but your drumming is just off the charts on this one. So you are guest drumming and making an album never playing with them/him in person? Man that's crazy-sounds fantastic though. The Drop Box band.

Thanks so much! There's a lot of music made virtually these days. It's more fun being in the same room, but that's not always doable.
