I believe Pearl and DW both make comparable instruments; I don't know what they're called, though.

Ddrum makes a much more affordable alternative. Deccabons I believe they're called? They come in more sizes as well.
 
Peace Octobans! They sound just as great as Tama's, but for about half the price.

I found mine on Steve Weiss music, but they don't seem to be there anymore.

Check Ebay, I got the high and med-high set for about 125$ and 130$ each. A set is 2 octobans.

I hate to sound like the irritating sales guy but I can do octobans (OR decobans) in acrylic and stave as well.
