Obnoxious Triplets!

Had some fun with the band playing Thin Lizzy's The Boys are Back in Town - and in true rock n roll fashion I decided that more is, well, MORE - and couldn't stop doing the obnoxious and cliche'd triplets during the ending guitar solo. The audience was dancing and having fun and I think the only guy who didn't dig it was the guitar player. Well, there was another drummer there watching who is supposed to sub for me next week as I go off to another gig I had booked long before I met these guys - so I thought I'd scare him to death too ;). But you know, if you don't want to hear the triplets, then you shouldn't be playin' them shufflin' songs ;)

My apologies to Brian Downey. I just couldn’t help myself! The song was such a shuffle-fest there was also a spot I went half-time Jeff Porcaro coming back into a verse that the singer noticed and started laughing too.

I promised I wouldn’t do it again 😂😂😂
