Noble and Cooley

There is no substitute for hands on craftsmanship.

Lucid content with clearly spoken narration not drowned out by backing track hype. A first class video production befitting the quality of their product.

Honestly beautiful drums - everyone needs at least an N&C snare.
I hear you but which one? You see in my signature what I have so, what wood at least...Any input?

It's hard to go wrong, really. Their piccolos are real classics-- I have a buddy who's selling a walnut one right now and even though I already own a wood piccolo I'm super-tempted to buy it. But you can do anything with those drums. I think Drum Center of Portsmouth did a comparison video of the N&C woods.

I have a 14x7 SS Maple and I could take that drum on absolutely any gig. It's completely amazing-- perfect.

I have the "One Headlight" snare. 3.87 x 14 Classic Maple Solid Shell : created from a single piece of 1/4" steam bent wood.

It's a beauty.

N&C make fabulous snare drums as good as anything made today . Their drum sets are good but not to the level of the snare drums . This is no slight , I have owned multiple of their snares and kits from the Horizon and CD Maples . The kits are good drums with nice finishes , not really sure they justify the prices they charge for them to be honest . The snares are worth every penny though .

I have checked their website and while their Maple seem to be rally classic, I have already a Maple snare that is really good, so, maybe I will focus on some other woods, cherry or Beech? Their finishes for cherry bring such a nice wood color!!!

Personally I feel my Horizon kit is the best modern kit I've ever played. It is my main studio kit. (I rent a lot of modern kits from DW to Yamaha).

Great choice - they are especially good in the 7” depth version .
That’s one drum I really want, but I’ll be damned if I can decide on a finish. I’ve probably looked at every N&C Instagram pic for options and inspiration but there’s more than a few beautiful finishes to choose from.
