Looking to visit the Falls for the first time.Any tips as where to stay, looking for nice view that wont break the bank. Thanks in Advance.

Old Niagra on the Lake is a pretty special town location though. Closest thing I've found to "historical" in NA ;) ;) ;)

Andy you need to visit Quebec City or if not that, Montreal. Very historical - the entire history of a country in those places tied to Brits vs. French.

To the OP, Niagara is a lot of casinos these days if thats your thing. Be sure to ride the Maid of the Mist though!

Are you going alone, or are you looking for a hotel with a heart-shaped hot tub?

I've been to Niagara Falls and really enjoyed it. I would recommend going to the Canadian side, because the views are really good from there. I can't remember the name of the hotel I stayed in, but it had a huge window overlooking the falls. Have fun. :)

as mentioned earlier, the Canadian side is much nicer.

Notes:

Don't drive on the on 87 (the Northway part) if you have tinted windows. Even if it's the factory tint. You will be ticketed, irregardless of whether your tint is legal or not.

Turn OFF your cell phone one exit prior to reaching the boarder crossing. You very well may be charged international rates even on the US side of the falls, and you'll have to argue a $40-80 charge with your provider.
