New stuff for 2018

Hi there Drummerworld,

I wanted to let everyone know that there have been a few new features added to the Drummer's Weekly Groovecast for 2018.

First, we've published our web site. Shockingly enough it can be found at: www.drummersweeklygroovecast.com You can access all of our shows, videos, social media, subscriptions, and contact information in one convenient location.

We've also introduced a new bi-weekly segment on the show call "Accountability Thursday". For you folks who like to practice this a play-a-long style mini-episode that highlights one traditional, rudimental solo per show. We analyze it then play it. We're drawing primarily from the NARD book as well as both Wilcoxin classics, "The 150" and the "Swing Solos" books. Inside the show notes you'll see a link for a corresponding video where you can view the sheet music and then see a performance of the solo. Here's an example from the second episode: https://soundcloud.com/phil-smith-592966725/mini-episode-2-the-texan

Finally we've introduced a new feature entitled the Drummer's Weekly Groovecast Advisory Board. We've asked past guests to come back on the show and be part of a panel to answer questions and discuss various topics. Our first Advisory Board discussion included: Tom Brechtlein (Chick Corea, Robben Ford), Joel Rosenblatt (Michel Camilo, Spyro Gyra), Jack Bell (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra), and Ryan Brown (Dweezil Zappa). Here's a link to that show: https://soundcloud.com/phil-smith-592966725/episode-80-natural-talent-vs-hard-work-featuring-the-dwg-advisory-board

Thanks to all for your continued support!
