New Metal Songs for you to give constructive criticism

Decimator - Forward to 56 seconds in. That is where song starts.

Morbid Rage - First time playing it

We are looking for a new singer, as our current singer is our rhythm guitar player. But, his vocals, for this type of music, could work. I think???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mikei! I liked your sound, nice to finally hear your drumming which I liked by the way...for the style of music I like your sound...but I think yeah, let the singer play that guitar and find someone who can belt out those vocals like they should be belted out...his power is lacking for the genre IMO and you can find one who can put it out there as it should be. All in all though I would come to a gig!

And perhaps a new singer would benefit you as well. He's not bad, not at all, but you know how powerful those vocals need to be in metal!:p

I usually do not play metal much. More of a rock guy. But just by putting in the time with these guys, it is improving my playing greatly.

We are looking for a singer. Just wondering if we should play a gig with out current singer or just wait

Hey Mike,

What's going on?

I thought it sounded pretty good. Your drumming is coming along nicely. Sounded tight and solid. I liked the bell on your ride. Nice clean sound. The snare seemed a little flat sounding.

The guitar player sounds great, but yeah, the vocal could be stronger. All in all you guys have a phat sound and a great foundation to build on.

Keep on rocking bro!

Funny you mention the snare. I took it with me to a lesson of mine and my instructor spent 20 minutes tuning it. It sounds very good now. Nice and fat, but not Don Henley fat. Sounds great and fat. So I am happy.

However, I see a Black Beauty coming my way at christmas.

The songs are fun to play, and his vocals are getting better slowly. He has never sang before.

Quite a workout. So, it works well wih my other rock stuff.

The guitarist is INCREDIBLE. Best by far I have ever played with.

This band has forced me to play better.

Thats the best you can wish for, musicians that force you to improve. I spent 15 years in bands with guys a lot better then me with far more experience and it forced me to stay focused and improve. Your singer doesn't suck by any means, if you landed a gig....I'd take it. Certainly either have your guy take some vocal lessons to really bely hard or find someone more suited but you guys could definately pull it off.

Sounded great man, I really enjoy your playing. Well done. But 805 hit the nail on the head man............GOTTA have MORE cowbell............. ;)

When I play with these guys, I feel 18 again. Very fun stuff!!!!

Singer is OK. But, he is slowly improving.

I started with these guys 3 months ago and my playing is jumping by leaps and bounds. I play in a classic rock cover band once a week and with the metal heads 1 time a week. 6 hours of "BAND" practice is equivilant to 20 hours of practice solo.
