I didn’t need them, but I really wanted them.

I’m pretty sure I overpaid, but I really, really don’t care.

They sound just as good as they look.

Very nice! Great sizes.

Hot dang you need a warehouse for all your kits. Looks really sharp and just my size too. I could wear a kit like that. I’d need a tux it’s so classy.

You know that color ain’t gonna fly on a country stage so I think you need to sell it to me- for about half what you paid for it - since it’s used. Throw in a set of your Heartbeat cymbals since you’re selling an old kit.

Whoa! Nellie!..40s big band! style baby!. I can see Gene Krupa burnin! on those beauties sent down by a host of angels. Pink glitter Rogers?..whew!..i need ta sit down a minute.

Very glam!

lol!
There is a "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" campaign in the "western community" that supports breast cancer awareness. I believe mr @PorkPieGuy can continue with his rugged, masculine persona and show the cowgirls his caring, sensitive side while playing a dead sexy kit. Win win. Put a pink bow tie on that reso and and you are set.

LOL!

If someone wants to tango with the 300lb. gorilla behind the drums, then so be it. 🤠

How do the toms & bass sound compared to your Luddies?
First of all, my basement continues to suck the fun out of all of my drum kits, so I just used my in-ear monitors. My first impression is how modern they sound when compared to a kit from the 1940s. :) (I have been playing my Radio Kings for a few months.)

They really pack quite the punch. The kick and Tom’s are great. I feel like this kit is very focused; while there’s plenty of volume, there aren’t any weird overtones. There’s a lot of clarity, almost like the way a lot of electric drums try to be, but unlike Edrums, these don’t come across a sterile. They are very lively while the tones are very direct. I don’t know if this makes sense or not, but it does to me.

When I first tuned them up, I thought they sounded a little dull, but the more I played them, the more the heads started to break in, and everything started to work together. It’s like it took about a 5-10 minute warm-up, then it all came together. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little concerned, but it sounds great now.

Very cool PPG! Those look great! Very interesting floor tom leg brackets. Those aren't original, right? I believe they should be the hex floor tom legs with the round clamp style bracket?

I actually think that's a great description of how Rogers drums sound. My first kit ever was a Rogers. I foolishly let it go. But the sound you describe is spot on.

I have a modern Powertone snare, and it still fits that description.

Glad you are enjoying them, PPG.
