New Evans heads: G Plus

I got an email notification from Guitar Center saying they are now stocking the new Evans G Plus heads, clear and coated.

From what I read, they are single-ply, 12 mil... Striking a middle ground between the traditional 10-mil single ply (Genera G1) and the 14-mil double-ply (Genera G2).

Curious to see if anyone has experiemented with them yet. The Evans website doesn't say much about these new heads!



Seems viable.. I personally might try them out.. I appreciate the durability of double-ply but always wanted something slightly thinner.

Evans site is usually very slow to post new things.
They still havent added Hybrid Snare Batter.
