WTF LOL Beater Trigger available from www.Triggera.com

The Pedals look like top-end Hybrids of Axis, trick etc...from Brazil and cost about US$600 for a double.

The Axis E-kit Type pedal trigger is available from the UK for many different brands and costs about US$180 for a set of doubles using conversion as of today, but the pedaltrigger.com website had them for US$143.63 when using their shopping cart. They may have an advantage over Axis triggers (apart from being available for different pedal brands) in that the trigger spring thing doesn't move, you slide the box it hit hits up and down to accommodate your pedal settings. So no resetting when the 'hammer' starts to travel.

The Laser Pick Triggers come direct from Russia and seem to work much the same way as the far more exclusive and expensive Trick lasers do. I have a Laser Pick and will provide a full review soon. You have to apply some reflective stickers to your beaters for them to work.
Of note is that the Laser Trigger unit comes complete with an on-board drum module ie you do not have to run it through your drum module. There is space for 10 sounds (2 banks of 5 files each) and you can upload and change them through Bluetooth via Android. You can change the Dynamic Response and Sensitivity on the Trigger itself. One unit has two lasers for double pedal and a single pedal mode can be set, turning one laser off. It costs US$187 and I paid US$30 for shipping with EMS ($11 smail-mail, $75 DHL) and it arrived from Russia to the bottom of the world in under a week.
You can also buy their custom beaters complete with reflective stickers, or you can buy extra pairs of stickers for all your different beaters for around US$3.50 per pair. Customer service was great, emailed me a photo of package and tracking number.
Also of note is it is battery-powered by a single AA. I used a budget battery (20 for $3) and it lasted a whole day. I replaced it with an energiser battery and it is still going...and going...and it has an XLR output instead of the standard 3/4". All in all quite handy if you only trigger your Kick, you can direct-out straight to the desk or XLR Multi-box thing on the stage. No Drum-Module needed.
I have it set up on my mesh kit at the moment, but it is very refreshing to be able to play without stuffing my bass drum on the acoustic kit. I have many different sets of pedals, but the Axis were the only ones I could play without stuffing my kick full of pillows and blankets if I wanted triggered sounds. Now I can trigger my favourite off-set Demonator pedals without feeling like I'm playing a mattress.

As for the Triggera Beater-Trigger....brilliant idea, horrible execution. Who in their right mind would play this? They used to sell this with a thin cable coming out parallel with the beater rod, but they 'upgraded' it to this monstrosity. I actually made my own once, took the felt off a pair of hammer type beaters, glued in the piezos and stuck a piece of neoprene over it. Worked very well with two kicks but required the traditional stuffing with a single. Probably could have fine tuned them but meh. They cost $US10 including Piezos, cable, jacks, and a couple small holes out of a camping mat.

This very good info!
Very useful, it makes me want a Laser Pick.

I want to question, how is everything going with the laserpick? it still does what it should?

I don't know why this post don't have any replys.
Maybe is not supposed to reply here?
