Need help?/ suggestions

can people please give the names of some smooth sounding songs im strugling to find good ones. i need to perform at the end of next month and i cant seem to stick with any songs. ive got one Dave mathews band tripping billies and thats about it.

any help would be much appreciated.

What do you mean by "smooth"? I think the smoothest band I've heard is Steely Dan. Pretty well everything they've done is smooth, but I'm not sure that's what you're after.

hey, thanks for replying. i need songs where the groove on the drums stands out more then the other instruments but still fits in with the music. i just need songs that build to a climax or so my music teacher says but i cant find any that im interested in. any ideas at all?

I recommend: "walk this way" by Run DMC.
Here the drums stand out to make the drum groove the heroe of the song..because the drums are beeing played extremely basic but also wery important.
