I'm super excited to be opening for Tom Cochrane (a fairly big name here in Canada) at Scotiabank Place Stadium here in Ottawa.

Never played a room this size, and it'll be part of a documentary. I'm also going to be using my GoProHD as a drumcam to capture everything.

I am so excited!

Good luck.

The interesting thing to me about huge shows, I never get nervous for them. On the other hand, I've gotten nervous from time to time when I played a real small venue when in the audience are people I respect as players themselves. Go figure.

completely agree

there is a certain disconnect to playing a 3000 or 5000 seat theatre or whatever it may be.....I never feel a thing besides ....lets get it on!!!!

but at a jazz gig where there are 80 people staring right at my face .... I get those jitters

go get 'em Xero
you are gonna kill it

take a flick from behind the kit
that is always something nice to have

Thanks guys!

I agree, smaller venues tend to be more intimate, and thus I get a little more nervous. This one, I'm not nervous, just PUMPED. I know the material, just a matter of doing what I do.

Seriously can't wait.

Thats Great!

Looking forward to hearing your analysis of playing in such a large venue.

I know what you mean there.for me it's much harder to play for a very small crowd than 50,000 people...

Have a great gig. See if you can get some pictures of the stage and post them.

Right on man! It's free! Doors open at 6:30pm, we should be on between 7pm and 7:30pm

I was there. I took my wife and son who has never really seen a concert.
You gotta love any concert that starts with Zeppelin's Rock n Roll.
You seemed to know the songs well. Good job!

Nice gig, & what a great snag! Hope you enjoyed it rather than getting tied in knots about the scale of the occasion. Can't wait for the drumcam video :)

Had an amazing time on stage last night at Scotiabank Place, opening for Tom Cochrane. Here are a few pics. I'll throw up some video when it's finished uploading. I took the GoPro on stage and got a great drumcam video of the whole set.

I'm also waiting on a board recording so I'll sync that up with the video for better audio.

Vids coming shortly... and more pics as I get them.
