Murder With Intent

"It's like an act of murder; you play with intent to commit something". - Duke Ellington

Nicked that from New England Conservatory's events page. No posts needed really, just thought folks would dig on it- it definitely works for me when I'm really "committing something" serious. Recording for instance - kind of like skiing down a mountain: crashing is not really an option. And I've had numerous "Sonny Bono's"...(all due respect).

For me, the act and the moment of commitment is every bit as exhilarating as any extreme sport that comes to mind. That's why this quote hit me between the eyes.

I couldn't agree with his quote more! Complete performance assault or why bother? It's kind of like when someone tells you they love you. Any response other than telling them you love them too means you don't.
