I have an unfounded concern mounting my TD-17 to a Hi Hat or cymbal stand. I had it on the HH stand for a bit and got concerned about it bouncing so much. However, I see that several mid level kits come with a mount to the HH stand. I'm a minimalist and prefer not to have a separate stand for the module if it's not necessary. I realize you don't want another stand, then... is it possible to use a cymbal stand instead of the HH stand? Not sure if you have one that is close enough, maybe relocate the module to the other side (the ride side) and use that stand to mount it, since you mostly don't "crash" the ride, the vibration and shaking will be much less and it should not affect the module at all.
