The biggest rack tom I have is a 13" x 9". As far as I'm concerned, anything larger in diameter should be placed on the floor with legs.

My current rack tom is 13"x9". The floor tom is 16"x16".

Please let me disagree. :)

Think about a 15" rack tom with an 18" floor tom and 24" bass drum.... mmm... tasty.. ;)

Cheers!

Soon to be 12" x 14" deep. My new rack tom will be deeper than its diameter. Woot woot. This is a kit I've been waiting to commission the right company to build for a long, long time. Earlier this year Prestigious Percussion earned the nod: Virgin 9 ply Birch shell, aluminum center ring, ironwood hoops, 8 lugs! Being made as I type this. I'm incredibly anxious and am starting to feel like a little kid on Christmas eve.

Main racks are 9x10 and 10x12. I have a 5x6 and an 8x8 that I still have from back when I played huge kits. My 12x14 is only a rack tom until I can afford another set of floor tom legs (get the drill, boys).
