Five years ago I had cancer surgery (which was successful) which lead me to having a H.I.T. (Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia) resulting in coronary thrombosis. Twice my out of state family was called in because it wasn't clear I would survive. Four things gave me the will to live (and not necessarily in this order).
1. The love of my wonderful wife.
2. The desire to see my grandson get older ( I now have two).
3. Wanting to drive my 1982 Nissan 280ZX again.
4. Wanting to get back behind the drums again.
My 67th birthday is this month and I am still going strong.
